GCL Huidong LNG Receiving Terminal, Rudong, China

Phase I to commence operation in 2026, and Phase II to be continued…
GCL Huidong Rudong LNG Receiving Terminal, developed by GCL and Pacific Energy, is located in Yangkou Port, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. The Phase I is expected to commence operation in 2026. The Phase II has been approved by Jiangsu Development & Reform Commission in March 2024.

The Project Phase I features two LNG storage tanks with a capacity of 200,000 cubic meters each and a dedicated berth capable of accommodating LNG carriers ranging from 80,000 to 260,000 cubic meters. The terminal has an annual throughput capacity of 6.5 million tons.

As the EPC JV member, HalcrowSea is responsible for detailed design consultancy, procurement, and construction management of seawater intake and discharge facilities; 3D model review; supporting specialized studies for the LNG terminal's detailed design (including HAZID / HAZOP / SIL /FHA/QRA assessments, RAM analysis, water hammer calculations, pre-commissioning safety review or relevant studies); and other construction / project management.

The project will significantly enhance emergency peak-shaving capacity and natural gas supply security across Jiangsu Province, optimize the regional energy structure within the Yangtze River Delta, and advance energy conservation and emissions reduction initiatives.
