Gwadar FSRU Gas Port, Pakistan

Shortage of energy in Pakistan is not only causing hardships for the people but is also inhibiting the economic growth of the country. In order to overcome the natural gas shortage, Gwadar FSRU is being considered in order to deliver natural gas to the market as quickly as possible.

ISGS, Interstate Gas Systems (Pvt) Limited, planned to build an LNG receiving terminal in Gwadar Port in the west of Pakistan. China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau (CPP) has been negotiated with ISGS to build the pipeline and FSRU. The scope of the Project includes developing, procuring, building, owning, operating, transferring (BOOT) necessary facilities to provide LNG Services, broadly comprising of receiving, storage, and re-gasification of approximate 4,500,000 tons (600 MMCFD) LNG per year and delivery of re-gasified LNG to a designated location through Gwadar-Nawabshah Pipeline in the vicinity of Gwadar Port, Gwadar.

HalcrowSea provided site selection, LNG carrier selection and conceptual design services to demonstrate a recommended final plan based on comprehensive comparisons in regard to technical issues, feasibility of project, construction schedule and cost.

And Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) technical and commercial contract consultant was carried out and helped CPP clarify the work to ISGS.
