Tangshan LNG Terminal (Xintian), Hebei, China

After the completion of the project, Caofeidian will become an energy port with the largest LNG loading/unloading capacity in China.
Caofeidian Xintian LNG Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of a state-owned listed company in Hebei Province of China, planned to invest 20 billion RMB in Tangshan LNG terminal facilities including LNG tanks, gasification units, jetties and gas pipelines etc. located in Caofeidian, Bohai Bay.
 
The design capacity of the terminal is 17 MTPA, and 20×200,000m³ LNG tanks will be constructed in three phases. The 1st phase has been completed and put into operation in 2022 with 4×200,000m³ LNG tanks. In the 2nd phase, 8×200,000m³ LNG tanks will be built by 2024. The 3rd phase will be completed in 2025 with 8×200,000m³ LNG tanks.
 
HalcrowSea was assigned to provide engineering services for seawater intake and outfall, including feasibility study and preliminary design with cost estimate, detailed design and related technical support etc..
 
As a mega project, this terminal will play an important role in expanding  gas supply of Hebei Province, optimizing the energy structure of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, enhancing the peak shaving capacity of natural gas in winter, ensuring safety of gas supply as well as improving the environmental quality in North China.
