Hua'an LNG Peaking Shaving Terminal, Shenzhen, China

The project will solve gas peak shaving challenges and improve the LNG supply ability in surrounding cities.
The Shenzhen Hua'an Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Peak Shaving Terminal Project, located in Shenzhen, China, addresses gas peak-shaving challenges and enhances LNG supply reliability for surrounding metropolitan areas.

The terminal, which commenced commercial operations in August 2019, features a dedicated LNG jetty capable of receiving LNGCs ranging from 10,000 to 90,000 cubic meters on a 24/7 basis. Key facilities include an 80,000-cubic-meter full-containment LNG storage tank, five truck loading bays, boil-off gas (BOG) compression systems, and high-pressure gas send-out facilities with a capacity of 240,000 cubic meters per hour.

Based on the client’s requirement, the preliminary and detailed design including safety analysis such as HAZOP/HAZID/SIL/QRA were independently reviewed to ensure project design quality and success of project delivery.

The project will solve gas peak shaving challenges and improve the LNG supply ability in surrounding cities. As a clean and highly efficient fuel, LNG delivers significant environmental benefits by substantially reducing CO₂ emissions compared to coal combustion.
