As an international engineering firm, maintaining consistent health and safety standards is a continuous, around-the-clock priority. The health and safety of our employees -- and all those affected by or involved in our work -- from a core part of our ethical business approach and are embedded in every stage of our decision-making.
 
At the heart of all our health and safety initiatives are four core values:

Our employees operate across many countries, each governed by its own safety legislation. As safety standards can vary significantly, we address this complexity through a global health and safety framework designed to ensure consistency across all locations.
 
This framework is built around a set of baselines standards. These baselines, applied in addition to local legislation, establish the minimum requirements for good health and safety practice in both office and site environments, and are mandatory for all our offices worldwide.
 
Additional health and safety guidance and initiatives are implemented to address any risks associated with specific tasks undertaken by individuals.
 
As a result, all employees are protected through a three-tier safety system:
    • Baseline global good-practice standards
    • Local health and safety legislation
    • Task-specific rules addressing the unique risks of each activity
